In My Prime, By Makaila Odoom
In My Prime, By Makaila Odoom
The sun is shining,
The birds are chirping,
It’s a great day.
I check my calendar,
It’s March 20th,
The perfect time to go outside and play.
It’s flower season,
Sweet smells in the air,
Color everywhere I go.
The beautiful scenery,
Playing with my friends,
It’s like no one can tell me no.
I feel free,
Dancing,
Singing,
Laughing as the butterflies zoom past.
Spring is when I’m in my prime,
When no one can bring me down.
I play outside,
I swim so fast,
And I make sure to always have a blast.
