How To Convince Your Parents To Get You A Pet

(This article is for kids, but adults can read too!)

1. Volunteer at your local animal shelter, or farm

I used to volunteer at the Baltimore Humane Society in Maryland (Until we moved to Florida) and that's how I met my bunny Toffee. When I first saw her, I knew she was going to be my pet. My parents said no, at first. When they saw how hard I worked at the animal shelter, they let me adopt Toffee.

2. If you want a dog, walk some of your neighborhood dogs

This is kind of like the first tip. Your parents will see how committed you are to walking dogs, (If you actually are committed) then they might consider getting you a pet.

3. Petsit

Watching neighborhood animals. This is can be used for all animals, and like the first and second option, the same thing might happen with your parents.

4. Beg

This option......is not likely to work, unless your parents give in easily, but if all else fails.....I guess it's worth a shot. Beg your brains out. (Please don't literally do that. I'm not paying for your medical bill.)
